Kit is handy, has everything needed to make repairs. The only issue is that most of the needles are garbage, as the eyes were improperly made or too small to thread. I’ve replaced them with my own needles.

I purchased the JUNING Sewing Kit with 42 Coloured Threads in Black.The negative reviews people have left are mainly due to user error.1) This sewing kit is for HAND SEWING only! Do NOT use these threads on a sewing machine.They are perfectly strong enough for hand sewing. They are NOT strong enough for use on a machine.For machine thread, you need to go to your local fabric store and pick up good quality thread in person.Support local businesses!2) It is EXTREMELY easy to find the ends of the thread. Simply run your fingernail along the edge of the rolled thread until one single thread comes loose. This is standard practice for all threads. People who are struggling with this are beginners who have never purchased thread before.3) DO NOT force open the plastic lid that houses the sewing needles!!! It is not meant to open like that. Simply twist it around until the small opening on the side is facing the top, then tilt the container into your palm until one single needle comes out. Then twist to close it again so additional needles don’t fall out. It is actually a very ingenious design. The people who have smashed theirs open and left negative reviews didn’t understand the sophisticated design.4) The kit I received has zero problems with the zipper and no tears/rips with the outer case.

This sewing kit is fantastic! I just opened it now, even though it arrived 2 days ago. I’m very impressed with the wide variety of implements contained in the handy, conveniently-sized zipper case!The sewing needles are in exactly the same case that my old ones were from 50+ years ago. It’s true! Don’t mess with a good idea (the handy way to access the right-sized needle you require — by turning the top of the case to the right or left, so that the small hole at the edge lines up with your desired needle)! After you’ve put away your needle, just spin the top away from all needles so that the small hole is not lined up with any other needles. That way they remain secure.I’m sure a quick mending job can be done with one of the many different colours of thread. I agree with another reviewer that this thread is not meant for sewing machine use.This kit is perfect for me as I unpack all my belongings after an extensive renovation. It will also certainly be something that I take along when I travel. It’s less than an inch thick and about 7″ square (zipped up) — taking hardly any room in a suitcase or carry-on.
