The Yasterd Kids Tablet Lap top 2-in-1 Learning Toy offers many options for educational play. As a self-directed activity, it offers hands-on learning and lets a child explore and challenge their skills. I went through most of the functions multiple times to be sure they worked properly. Some of the main points;▪️Both the visual and audio aspects are clear and appropriate▪️Volume levels are suitable & helpful for different environments▪️Button sizes are easy for little ones to hit▪️Pronunciation of the letters and words are quite good▪️Sing-along songs are fun, other music selections are okayLEARNING ASPECTSTeaching starts with simply hearing/pronouncing words such as apple, cat, dog (what, no frog?!) and learning the alphabet letter by letter pressing and hearing how the letter sounds. More challenging is spelling the words by hitting the letter keys, and pressing the question mark to “find the dog” and other animals and objects on the keys. In the spelling feature, like “spell cat” if the correct keys are not hit, it says wrong, try again, and then if not correct, try a third time. On the other hand, If spelling is correct, it’s celebrates that.Less exciting is having the battery compartment right on top rather than a colourful design. It has one of those little screws on the battery compartment which is a bit inconvenient. (Don’t lose it!) The build of the toy is good, not great. There’s no design at all on the outside. Currently priced at about $37 I recommend it. However since it’s an electronic toy, not knowing if it’s a durable toy that will last with many, many hours of play, I couldn’t give it 5 stars.

The buttons are covered with a protective coating, making them easy to wipe clean after being handled by sticky toddler fingers.- The upper section detaches from the base and functions as a standalone tablet. This ended up being our toddler’s preferred way to use it since it’s lighter and easier to carry around.- The tablet focuses primarily on the alphabet and simple learning games. For example, it can ask your child to find a specific animal or object, and they respond by pressing the corresponding letter. I thought this was a clever way to reinforce letter recognition while keeping things interactive.- Most of the words and pictures are good choices, although a few of the objects felt a little less common than they could have been. The voice recordings are generally clear, but there were a few words, like “hen” and “pen,” that sounded similar enough to occasionally cause confusion.- The lower section is geared more toward practicing letters and numbers. Our toddler wasn’t quite as interested in this portion yet, but I can see it becoming more useful as they get older.- There are plenty of extra sound effect buttons to explore, but the music buttons were easily our child’s favourite feature. One is located on the tablet and another on the lower section, and they play a good variety of songs that kept our toddler coming back.- Sound quality is decent for a toy like this, and I appreciated that the tablet includes built-in volume controls.- The toy folds closed for storage and doesn’t take up much room. My only durability concern is the plastic hinge pins that connect the tablet to the base. They seem a little delicate, especially if the tablet is frequently removed and reattached.- The toy requires standard batteries, which are not included.- At the time of ordering it was priced at $39.99, which I think is a fair price considering the number of activities, the detachable tablet design, and the overall educational value.
